So here I sit on my fire escape listening to Cat Power contemplating this blog and the many entries I want to post that cloud my mind and make me so anxious I can't stand it! This is the start of Krump Cake week, how excited I am! And yes, I know it's Saturday and weeks usually start on Monday or so but around here we're odd folk and simply start on any day we please. So to start off, let's introduce the Krump Cake. It's a dessert usually enjoyed in european culture- the name states it all. My roomie (who will eventually post some foodie entries as well) ordered this "Krump Cake" maker after one of her endless sessions of interweb browsing. It's quite the looker I must say. It looks exactly like a waffle maker only its expressions aren't as deep and the patterns are the cutest things I've ever seen which consist of sunflower looking shapes and hearts as well as some other super kawaii things. The recipe book (that's more like a pamphlet) accompanying the maker has recipes that call for the Krump Cake mix to be sweet but me and my roomie are experimental chefs and had to explore the savory factor of it all. This is our end result:

Introduction
Welcome to Dinner at 771..We are the foodies. Conveniently located in the good ol' NYC, we strive to make nothing short of miracles come out of our tiny magic filled kitchen. Give us any ingredient and rest assured the time your stomach spent grumbling will be well worth the wait once our mastery has fallen upon your taste buds. We aren't certified chefs, I didn't attend the French Culinary Institute and most of all, we don't do this for money. We love food, we love cooking. We've got nothin' but our knowledge and the small techniques and experiences we've picked up along the way. We hope you enjoy our food just as much as we do.
